Maître Chocolatier Souad: from computing to chocolate

You may be surprised to learn that Souad El Maslouhi’s career originally had nothing to do with chocolate. Souad was working with computers when she discovered a passion for chocolate during a visit to the Salon du chocolat in Paris. These tastes, flavours and techniques immediately won Souad over and she decided to embark on a career change.

She spent four years training, learning about patisserie, making ice cream and chocolate, and baking. She needed to master all these techniques to realise her dream of becoming a Master Chocolatier.

An exquisite art

After completing her training, Souad worked in Brussels with well-known master patissiers and master chocolatiers. This allowed her to focus completely on her passion, coming up with extraordinary recipes and creating edible works of art that were almost too beautiful to eat.

After being appointed as manager of a patisserie, Souad came to work at Leonidas in 2012. As a Master Chocolatier, she works with tastes and flavours to create astonishing chocolates and pralines.
